Day Two Begins…

with 2 comments

As I sit in the lobby of the grand Imperial Hotel, surrounded by fellow Northeastern students and hotel guests, I am eager to begin learning.  Our first orientation and group meeting is just moments away, and everyone is beginningto come down from their rooms.

Earlier this morning, Erin Kelly, Michele Richinick, Ally Siegel and myself walked around the area immediately around the hotel.  Crossing the street is an experience in itself, as there are far fewer crosswalks here than in the states.  We eventually made our way around the highway and across the 2 roundabouts to find a little hole in the wall.  We purchased water for about 60 cents, which seemed crazy to me.

We’re gearing up for the orienation session and tour of the inner circles of Amman now.

More to come shortly…
